Advanced Traditions
Acupuncture
Traditional acupuncture is the most common form of  treatment, and
involves the insertion of very thin needles into specific points along
                              the body.

Typically, first time patients of acupuncture
report a strange but pleasant sensation at
the points of insertion. The needles used are
extremely  thin - about the size of a thick
human hair - and  can produce feelings or
                               warmth, or pressure when
inserted. Some report the sensation as energetic,
but very few refer to it as painful.

Advanced techniques in acupuncture allow for the insertion of needles with almost no
sensation at all. Because acupuncture can induce extraordinary relaxation, some
patients fall asleep during treatment.
